Boerne Champion’s Caleb Farias voted Express-News Athlete of the Week

Boerne Champion senior Caleb Farias was the catalyst for the Chargers’ potent speeding assault final week of their win over Lockhart.

The working again rushed for 235 yards and 5 touchdowns on 24 carries within the 56-0 blowout of the Lions. His efficiency helped transfer Champion to 6-0 on the season, and now he has been voted Express-News Athlete of the Week.

She added 17 kills, 11 digs and three aces in a four-set win over Judson.

Sotomayor senior Corina Barrera recorded a career-high 31 kills in a sweep towards Stevens, which retains the Wildcats on tempo within the chase for a playoff spot in District 29-6A, the place they’re tied for third with Warren.
