Whitney Peak Says She Was ‘Way in Over My Head’ Joining ‘The Hunger Games as She Covers Cosmopolitan With Co-Stars

Whitney Peak is opening up about the pressures of joining The Hunger Games and she’s starring on one of Cosmopolitan‘s Winter Issues covers with co-stars Mckenna Grace and Maya Hawke.
Whitney, Maya, and Mckenna are featured in separate covers for the issue, with the three actors set to appear in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping this November. Her cover shows her posing topless with her arms covering her chest, while Mckenna wears a patterned camisole and underwear while holding a small dog in hers. Maya is shown wearing a red lingerie-style top.

Whitney Peak shares the pressure she felt joining the franchise
Whitney plays Lenore Dove Baird in the upcoming film. She told Cosmopolitan that taking on a character important to a franchise with such a devoted following felt overwhelming.
“I was really freaked out….I don’t mean to be self-effacing or self-deprecating,” she admitted. “I’m just being completely honest that I felt way in over my head with this. When something just feels so much larger than anything you could have conceived and it’s something people love, with a character who is really important to the story, and it’s just little old me doing all of that…I had to not think about it and just do it.”
She also offered a brief tease about the movie’s emotional impact: “Bring a box of tissues.”
