Position: Freelance / Contract
Rodeo & Madison Agency is looking for a creative, culturally connected PR professional who understands the intersection of fashion, entertainment, celebrity, and media. The ideal candidate brings established industry relationships, exceptional storytelling abilities, and a proven track record of securing impactful press coverage and meaningful brand opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted media strategies for talent and brand clients within fashion, beauty, and luxury.
- Secure editorial placements, interviews, features, and press opportunities across leading fashion, beauty, entertainment, and lifestyle outlets.
- Write and distribute compelling, personalized pitches, press releases, electronic press kits (EPKs), and media materials.
- Leverage existing relationships with editors, journalists, stylists, producers, and industry decision-makers.
- Identify opportunities surrounding Fashion Week, red carpets, brand launches, editorial moments, and cultural events.
- Support talent positioning, brand storytelling, and strategic media visibility.
- Maintain organized media lists, pitching trackers, and press coverage reports.
- Collaborate with the agency team on campaign execution and client deliverables.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional PR experience, ideally within fashion, beauty, luxury, or talent representation.
- Established relationships with key editors, journalists, and media professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to independently secure meaningful earned-media placements.
- Experience representing celebrity talent, fashion brands, beauty brands, or luxury clients.
- Strong understanding of fashion and entertainment media, cultural trends, and industry events.
- Excellent writing, communication, organizational, and pitching skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel for events, client activations, and industry engagements.
New York-based candidates are strongly preferred. Remote/hybrid work arrangements are available.
