Jack Lowden is finally speaking out about the rumors he’s a frontrunner for the next James Bond.

The 36-year-old Slow Horses star is said to be one of a handful of young stars who screen tested for the role. Odds say he’s a favorite to land the coveted part as well.

“Oh, Christ…” he said when the topic was broached.

“On this… It’s all very flattering. It’s nice to be mentioned – for any role – and I’m just not really going to add to the noise,” Jack said to GQ Hype.

Jack Lowden Also Spoke to Gary Oldman’s Statements on His Rumored Casting

Earlier this year, Jack‘s Slow Horses co-star Gary Oldman made headlines when he claimed that a decision has already been made about who will play Bond next. He also said he was hoping Jack landed the part.

“It’s very nice, and Gary’s a sweetheart – it’s particularly lovely, coming from someone like him. But I don’t really listen to it…As a young male actor, generally, the minute you’re not playing a zany artist type, the minute you’re in a suit, people fling it at you,” Jack added.
