We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Associate for a new opportunity with an existing federal customer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience with federal accounting or federal financial audit, which is essential to the successful performance of the program. The Senior Accounting Associate will work closely with the client, the Program Manager and subject matter experts to execute the program. The Senior Accounting Associate should be a self-starter who demonstrates strong communication skills, initiative and has experience in taking ownership of work assignments.

The chosen candidate will join a skilled team of professionals dedicated to our client’s compliance with established accounting, financial management and reporting requirements.  Our team provides expert technical accounting services including SFFAS and Treasury financial management policy monitoring, development of accounting policies, procedures and process documentation, collaboration with subject matter experts to develop financial data visualizations and dashboards, developing presentations, white papers and graphic design support related to financial reporting.

This position is 100% remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop documentation templates and protocols

• Attend & document executive level meetings

• Perform accounting research

• Develop presentations for client management

• Develop policy and procedure templates and repository

• Develop new or update accounting policies, procedures and process maps

• Perform walk-through interviews of process owners

• Design financial management dashboard(s) – identifying content and working with SMEs to develop.

• Design presentation templates and graphic design tools and guidance

• Develop training

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting

• Minimum of 3 years of federal accounting or federal financial statement audit experience.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-starter who thrives in a high-ownership environment

• The ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

$95,000 – $105,000 a year

This range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as Trilogy Federal conducts an individual equity review for every candidate based on experience, location, education, industry experience, and comparisons to internal pay bands.
