Kelsey Grammer to Star in New EMT Drama Sequence in Growth at NBC
Kelsey Grammer could quickly be returning to NBC.
20 years after the tip of his hit sitcom Frasier, the 71-year-old Emmy-winning actor shall be starring in and govt producing the brand new EMT drama sequence Pops at the moment in growth on the community, Deadline studies.
The sequence is being written by longtime Chicago Med author/producer Danny Weiss.
In Pops, Kelsey will play the titular character, “a person aged out of a profitable profession who, in determined want of a contemporary begin, jumps into the chaotic global community of emergency drugs alongside first responders half his age.”
The challenge relies on the true-life story of Ed Levien, a Maryland resident who grew to become a volunteer EMT in his 60s after a profitable profession in promoting. Nicknamed “Pops” by his youthful colleagues, Levien labored as an EMT for 12 years earlier than retiring final fall on the age of 76.
