AI-generated slides, ‘trillicorns,’ and the ‘3 T’s of Founder Legibility.’

Last month (really it was August—I’ve been busy), my desperate plea to founders to please cease sending AI slop decks went viral. I wrote it as a result of my Monday-morning pitch deck overview routine had gone from thrilling to impartial to mildly annoying to downright soul-sucking in the midst of a 12 months. Decks was once like a bag of Bertie Botts Every-Flavored Beans—some blah, some gross, some completely pleasant. Today, it’s all vanilla and fully indistinguishable.
