Followers cheer as Ed Sheeran speaks out over Macklemore controversy at Philadelphia present

Ed Sheeran informed his followers that he had made errors after Macklemore was dropped for making pro-Palestinian remarks on stage this month.

Earlier, pro-Palestinian protesters had gathered close to the stadium to specific solidarity with Macklemore.

The British singer’s backing band and opening acts boycotted the occasion – leaving Sheeran alone on stage to handle the group.

“I’ve tried in my profession to not be a political commentator of any sort, as a result of I need my music and reveals to be about unity, not division,” Sheeran stated. “But this can be a humanitarian problem, and I can’t conceal how I really feel about it anymore.”

The BBC’s Carl Nasman was on the live performance.
