Seize of Mocha marks turning level in Yemen warfare, with ripples throughout Red Sea

Days after Houthis captured the Red Sea port of Mocha from Yemeni forces, Saudi Arabia has accused the rebels of firing a drone in direction of the holy metropolis of Mecca – a goal Saudi officers say is a “pink line”. Analysts warn the Houthis’ territorial good points may open a brand new and harmful chapter in Yemen’s civil warfare, with penalties felt as far-off as East Africa.
