Pass Designer – Apple Developer

Semantic tags

For boarding passes and occasion tickets, semantic tags add structured information — corresponding to occasion dates, venue areas, or flight particulars — that the system makes use of to allow options like Siri Suggestions, Calendar integration, and Maps instructions.

Pass Designer enables you to edit semantic tags instantly within the UI, and you’ll view a semantic and non-semantic cross facet by facet. It may also robotically generate a backward-compatible cross construction out of your semantic information that doesn’t require semantic tags, guaranteeing your cross works the place they will not be supported.
