Jay-Z Accuser Recants Sexual Assault Allegations, Admits She ‘By no means Met’ the Rapper | Simply Jared
The lady that accused Jay-Z of sexual assault is recanting her allegations.
Back in December 2024, the 56-year-old “Empire State of Mind” rapper was accused of sexually assaulting a minor alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2000. The lawsuit was dismissed in February in 2025.
In a declaration filed in Manhattan federal court docket on Thursday (September 24), the plaintiff, recognized as Jane Doe, wrote that Jay-Z by no means raped her and that they’ve by no means met.
“Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter by no means raped me. I’ve by no means met or spoken to Mr. Carter,” the plaintiff wrote, per Rolling Stone. “Mr. Carter by no means engaged in any inappropriate conduct towards me in any respect.”
She continued, “There is not any reality to any of my claims in opposition to Mr. Carter. I perceive my false accusations have precipitated Mr. Carter immense ache, struggling and harm that may by no means be totally undone.”
The lady’s new lawyer, James Blair Newman Jr. then advised TMZ, “Our consumer maintains that she was a sufferer of sexual assault, however she was fully mistaken in her allegations figuring out Mr. Carter, and people allegations have been false.”

Jay-Z vehemently denied the allegations as quickly because the lawsuit was because it was filed, calling this a blackmail try and calling the lady’s unique lawyer, Tony Buzbee, a fraud.
The Grammy-winning rapper beforehand revealed how much money he lost as a result of the lawsuit.
