Why I constructed this

I run a one-person internet studio in regional New South Wales. My purchasers’ websites, domains and internet hosting all run by means of me. If I died tomorrow, no one would know the place something was, and even that they wanted to look.

So I wrote a plan. Everything my commerce runs on is in a single encrypted doc. My backup developer holds its password, and my lawyer holds a second copy. What was lacking was the half within the center: one thing that notices I’ve gone quiet and tells the fitting individuals, in the fitting order, with out scary my household over an extended weekend.

I could not discover something easy that I may host myself, so I constructed it. It emails me as soon as per week. If I do not reply, it asks my subsequent of kin first. Only if no one can say I’m all proper does it inform everybody else.

I’ve been working it on myself for the final week, with my subsequent of kin and my backup developer each confirmed. If you trial it on your personal commerce, I’d actually recognize your suggestions: what was complicated, what broke, and what you’d need it to do in a different way.
