Video. Violence is ‘not common’ in French college students protests, MEP says

French S&D MEP Emma Rafowicz says Emmanuel Macron’s authorities is “fully irresponsible” in its dealing with of the continuing pupil protests in France. Rafowicz argues that many of the violence comes “from the police facet” and says younger individuals are “mobilising fairly properly”.

She accuses the federal government of “seeking to the opposite facet” and hoping the protests will dissipate in the course of the holidays. Rafowicz additionally describes French colleges as being “in shambles”, citing falling ceilings and meals that fails to satisfy high quality requirements. The MEP says this displays “a disrespect for the younger folks”.
