Canadian poet and essayist Anne Carson wins Nobel Prize in literature

Canadian poet, essayist and translator Anne Carson gained the Nobel Prize in literature Thursday for frolicsome, genre-blending works that fuse the classical and the trendy. The Toronto-born Carson, 76, attracts on themes and tales from historical Greek and Roman literature for writing that always blends components of poetry, essay and fiction.
