Trump backs away from prime aides who reportedly suggested pro-Russia authorities | Donald Trump
Donald Trump distanced himself from two prime advisers on Wednesday, claiming he didn’t have “any concept who else they work for”, after it was reported they spent the weekend helping a pro-Russia authorities within the Balkans.
On Truth Social, Trump wrote that Chris LaCivita, the co-manager of his 2024 presidential marketing campaign, and James Blair, a marketing campaign adviser and White House deputy chief of employees on go away of absence, “are exterior consultants” and “don’t work for me aside from as exterior consultants”.
“They are allowed to do work for others, identical to all consultants in Washington, D.C.,” Trump wrote. “I do not need any concept who else they work for however will, on reflection, ask them and, if there’s a confrontation, I’ll terminate them, instantly!”
The president’s feedback got here after the New York Times reported that LaCivita and Blair traveled to Republika Srpska, an autonomous entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to help the federal government forward of elections over the weekend.
