The Nobel drugs prize was awarded Monday to US psychiatrist and neurologist Karl Deisseroth and German scientists Peter Hegemann and Georg Nagel for his or her pioneering work within the neuroscience discipline of optogenetics. In optogenetics, scientists management neurones by stimulating them with gentle — probably unlocking breakthroughs for circumstances comparable to dementia, despair and blindness.
