Andrew Garfield Premieres New Film ‘Artificial’ at New York Film Festival 2026
Andrew Garfield is selling his new film on the 2026 New York Film Festival!
The 43-year-old Oscar-nominated actor joined co-stars Yura Borisov and Ike Barinholtz together with director Luca Guadagnino on the premiere of Artificial on Monday (October 5) held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City.
Fellow forged members in attendance included Jason Schwartzman, Billie Lourd, Cooper Hoffman, Matt Kranz, Will Angus, Nicholas Hamilton, and Will Price.
In Artificial, Andrew performs OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The film dramatizes the upheaval at OpenAI in November 2023, when Altman was removed as CEO earlier than returning to the corporate days later.
Amazon MGM Studios dropped the movie from its slate in June. At the time, an Amazon spokesperson stated that the corporate would assist the filmmakers discover one other distributor. Neon subsequently acquired the movie.
Artificial opens in choose theaters on December 25, 2026, with a wider launch following in January. Watch the first teaser trailer here!
