Girls hospitalised and three males charged with assault and choking after separate residence invasions in Sydney | Sydney


Three males have been detained after two ladies have been allegedly assaulted throughout separate residence invasions in Sydney’s south-west.

New South Wales police have been known as to a house invasion in Arncliffe at about midnight on Tuesday morning.

Officers have been advised a bunch of males pressured entry into the house and threatened a 31-year-old girl with a knife earlier than sexually assaulting her and stealing cash. The girl, who didn’t know the boys, was taken to hospital with “minor accidents”, police stated on Friday.

Officers individually responded to a reported residence invasion at a unit in Bankstown at about 12.30am on Thursday, police stated.

Police have been advised three males allegedly pressured entry into the unit earlier than assaulting a 32-year-old girl and stealing cash. The girl, who once more didn’t know the boys, was taken to hospital for therapy of minor accidents, police stated.

Sex Crimes Squad Commander Det Supt Virginia Gorman stated police consider the three males had deliberate the offences.

“I consider that these males had achieved some analysis and so they believed that these ladies is likely to be residence alone and so they might need cash on the premises. So they have been particularly focused,” she stated.

Speaking to reporters, Gorman described the alleged offences as “very violent”.

“Excessively violent for 3 males armed with a weapon towards weak ladies residence alone,” she stated.

“They have been armed with a knife. They used duct tape to restrain them. They had duct tape over their mouths. They assaulted the ladies, punching a girl. You don’t want to do this to beat a solo feminine. The violence is excessive for what they’ve achieved.”

Detectives, supported by the riot squad, subsequently raided three properties in Belmore, Punchbowl and Greenacre at about 7.45pm on Thursday.

A 20-year-old man arrested in Belmore was charged with aggravated break and enter, depriving an individual of their liberty, choking and customary assault, together with different offences.

A 19-year-old man arrested in Punchbowl and charged with aggravated break and enter, choking and aggravated sexual assault, together with different offences.

An 18-year-old man arrested in Greenacre was charged with aggravated break and enter, choking and customary assault, together with different offences.

Gorman stated the boys might be prosecuted to the total extent of the regulation.

“The offences are very critical … as a result of the violence they dedicated was of the best order.”

All three males have been because of face native courts on Friday.
