Automotive supplier YFore opens US manufacturing base in Georgia

China-based YFore has opened its American headquarters in Suwanee, Georgia, a site combining research, manufacturing, procurement, sales and delivery under one roof.

The automotive electronics supplier said the 62,225ft² facility is intended to bring “agile engineering and resilient local supply chains directly to local automotive partners”.

Alongside the opening, the company rolled out its first US-built digital key unit to showcase the site’s manufacturing capabilities.

YFore also used the launch to present its three main product lines.

In Intelligent Mirror, the company showed its range of interior digital mirrors, auto-dimming mirrors and exterior side mirrors, now in mass production on over 60 vehicle models worldwide.

The event marked the global debut of its multifunctional digital mirror, which combines driver and occupant monitoring sensing (DMS/OMS) with interactive features in a single unit.

Under Intelligent Access, YFore outlined its “car-cloud-phone/watch” digital key system, covering BLE (bluetooth low energy), UWB (ultra-wideband) and NFC (near field communication) protocols across connected devices, NFC and KeyFobs, alongside door handle sensors and an anti-pinch mechanism.

This technology is already in mass production across more than 50 models globally.

The Intelligent Sensing line saw the global unveiling of YFore’s ODMS in-cabin full-coverage sensing system, which pairs “smart” mirror optics with radar sensing.

According to the company, the system is built to remove blind spots and meet Euro-NCAP compliance standards, with UWB-based functions supporting kick sensors, low-power sentry mode and in-cabin life detection without extra hardware.

YFore is a tier one automotive electronics supplier working with more than 30 OEMs across North America, Europe and Asia, covering intelligent access, intelligent mirror and sensing systems.

YFore CEO Leo Liu said: “Driven by rising OEM demand for localised, resilient supply chains, this investment embodies our ‘Global Footprint, Local Excellence’ strategy.

“By pairing global scale with dedicated on-site teams, we deliver true door-to-door responsiveness – ensuring agile co-development and flawless delivery right at our customers’ doorsteps.”

In May, the company launched what it described as the industry’s first mass-produced anti-pinch sensor.
